"Baptism," explains the Catechism, "seals the Christian with the indelible spiritual mark (character) of his or her belonging to Christ...Given once for all, Baptism cannot be repeated." Members of the RCIA who have never been baptized are called "catechumens." those who have been are referred to as "candidates" for full communion with the Church.
